Creamy Butter Chicken

    Butter chicken is a rich and creamy dish that originated in North India and is loved around the world.

    Ingredients:

    • 500g chicken (boneless or medium cut)
    • 2 tomatoes, pureed
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
    • ½ cup fresh cream
    • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala
    • Salt to taste
    • Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)

    How to Prepare:

    First cook the chicken pieces in a pan until they are lightly browned and cooked through. Set them aside.

    In another pan, melt butter and sauté chopped onions until soft. Add ginger garlic paste and cook briefly. Add tomato puree and cook until the gravy thickens and releases oil.

    Mix in red chilli powder, garam masala, and salt. Add the cooked chicken and simmer for about 10 minutes. Finally add cream and crushed kasuri methi for extra flavor.

    Serve hot with butter naan, roti, or jeera rice.
