Flavorful Chicken Biryani

    Chicken biryani is one of the most popular and aromatic dishes made with chicken. Its rich spices and layered cooking make it a perfect dish for family meals.

    Ingredients:

    • 500g fresh chicken
    • 2 cups basmati rice
    • 2 onions, sliced and fried
    • 1 cup yogurt
    • 2 tablespoons biryani masala
    • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
    • Whole spices (bay leaf, cloves, cardamom)
    • Fresh mint leaves
    • Fresh coriander leaves
    • Saffron soaked in milk (optional)

    How to Prepare:

    Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger garlic paste, salt, and biryani masala for at least 30 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the basmati rice with whole spices until it is about 70% cooked.

    In a heavy-bottom pot, place the marinated chicken at the bottom. Add a layer of partially cooked rice on top, followed by fried onions, mint leaves, and coriander leaves. Drizzle saffron milk for extra aroma if desired.

    Cover the pot tightly and cook on low heat for about 25–30 minutes. This slow cooking method allows the flavors to blend beautifully. Serve hot with raita or fresh salad.
