Classic Indian Chicken Curry

    Chicken curry is a comforting and flavorful dish enjoyed in almost every Indian household. It pairs perfectly with rice, roti, or naan.

    Ingredients:

    • 500g fresh chicken (medium cut)
    • 2 onions, finely chopped
    • 2 tomatoes, pureed
    • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
    • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
    • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
    • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
    • ½ teaspoon garam masala
    • Salt to taste
    • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

    How to Prepare:

    Start by heating oil in a pan and sauté chopped onions until they turn golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for another minute until fragrant. Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil begins to separate from the mixture.

    Now add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and add the chicken pieces. Stir for a few minutes until the chicken changes color. Add a cup of water, cover the pan, and let it cook for about 20 minutes on medium heat.

    Finish by sprinkling garam masala and garnishing with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice or freshly made rotis.
